The President of Veterans Refuge of Hope Initiative Promise to capture 5 million people in less than 3 month.

The President of Veterans Refuge of Hope Initiative (VrHi-Nigeria). Mr.Exodus Esuku Ibor, in his opening remarks on the progress of the organization,Stated that VrHi-Nigeria is working towards capturing 5 Million Veterans,widows and women in the 774 LGAs across the Nation.The organization in partnership with Standard Guaranty MFI,the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development and FCMB Plc is focused on programs that will empower and make Veterans,their wives,widows and Children become Self Reliant and contribute to the economy of the Nation.He further stated that a total of 300 graduates have just been employed as Community Development Officers(CDOs),Community Development Coordinators for LGAs and State Director of Programs for the 36 States and the FCT. And that this is under the Phase 1 of the program,as the organization has proposed to Employ additional 1,550 graduates Nationwide before the end of 2018.This he pointed out is to allow for the vision and programs of the organization to reach the nooks and carnies of the Nation. He congratulated all the employees for making the final list for employment.

In her own remarks, the Representative of the Hon.Minister for Women Affairs and Social Development-Mrs.Fumilayo Abdulkareem,lauded the Initiative especially in the area of employment generation for the teeming unemployed youths especially the women.

She applauded the large number of women employee and further encouraged all the employees to put on their best towards the achievement of the set goals of VrHi-Nigeria and also extended the fellowship of the Ministry towards a successful project year,

VrHi-Nigeria is a program that is a direct response to the growing number of veterans in the Army, Navy, Airforce and paramilitary organizations, the civil and public service, that are either falling through the cracks, physically challenged, sick or needs empowerment to startup business and become self-reliant with emphases on the women and families. With a goal to identify veterans with needs and work with them for the sustainability of their well being and families, support and train them in business skills and also help develop their already acquired capacity in their various areas of specialization for production purpose. the focus is slightly different at each level but the goal remains the same empower the veterans to make positive changes in his/her life.
